Invest in Fit and Size Down

In high school, I was wearing L (40 chest), 32 (waist), and 10.5 (shoe); now I’m wearing XS (34), 28, and 8. Note: I didn’t have an extreme weight loss transformation, I gained weight. Recently, I’ve been learning to wear my size.

Being small framed, wearing clothes that are too big for me can make me look even smaller; if you’re bigger framed, wearing clothes that are larger than you are can make you appear even bigger. Apparel–designer or not–is a big expense, so invest in fit and size down.

The look: AllSaints T-shirt; Gap jeans; American Eagle bandana (it’s become my signature and I love the print). Wardrobe essential: The Essential V-Neck T by Gap (Halloween 2014 throwback; considering it was a one-time use T, maybe I should’ve bought Joe Fresh).

Next, I want to explore tailoring more often for perfect fit. Cheers.
